Authentic Assessment Activity: Now that you have determined the topic for your workshop, you can start thinking about the kind of authentic assessment activity you would like to include. Begin with the end in mind and decide what kind of product you would like your participants to create to demonstrate that they can apply the principles/content/skills they learned in the workshop. The activity that I am going to do will be based on teachers completing a lesson based on common core.
Topic: Collaborating with Common Core
Population: This workshop is designed for High School teachers 9th-12th Grade.
Draft of Outcomes: Teachers will grasp the idea of collaborating with each other using various technology. They will also want to communicate with parents this way due to some parents working and it is hard to get in touch with them.
Gap: Know: Over half of the teachers are aware of how to use technology. Some are aware of Wiki. Obtain From Training: Teachers to be able to create web pages for parents to view. Teachers to be able to collaborate with other teachers via the web.
